Situated in the midst of endless hills, lakes, rivers and trees, wilderness adventure is always close by.  Year-round, in the summer there are award winning water trails to explore.  In winter, Sir Sam’s Ski Resort and numerous other Cross-Country Ski Trails are quickly accessible.

You will find that the Haliburton Highlands has an exciting artistic side.  Along with some well-known artists, the Haliburton Highlands is home to countless artisans.  We are proud of the Northern Lights Performing Arts Pavilion, venue for a busy theatrical and musical season.

Sir Sandford Fleming College has a scenic campus on the shores of Head Lake in the village of Haliburton.  Course offerings vary from sculpting to sustainable building construction.  Well known as “School of the Arts”, the Haliburton campus attracts students from near and far.

Haliburton Highlands offers many extra-curricular activities for both adults and children.  There is a thriving publicly funded, French Immersion Program.
